62. To think is to act

Action is knowledge, that knowledge is action.
Knowledge means to know.
Action means, to act on what you know.
Do not covet another woman — this is knowledge.
And you don’t — this is action.
And you do — here knowledge fails,
so what you have is ignorance,
Kudala-chenna-sangama-deva, Shiva.
— Chenna-basavanna

Right thinking and Right action are the two faces of the same coin. If the right thinking is not reflected in the right action, it means the right thinking is absent.

Why is there a gap between the right thought and the resulting right action? When I slip from awareness, there will be a gap between the right thought and the right action. Awareness bridges the right thought and the right action.

ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಭೋಗಿಸಬಾರದೆಂಬುದೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ;
