44. Jangama is the mouth of Linga

Taking the roots as the mouth of the tree,
if the water is poured on the ground,
the tree puts out leaves up above.
Taking the Jangamaas Shiva’s mouth,
if the Jangama is fed,
Shiva will give you all you desire.
If the Jangama who is the very Shiva
is taken as an ordinary mortal,
one lands in the dark world of ignorance,
Kudala-sangama-deva, Shiva.

Insight

Linga is a symbol for Shiva. If I can see Shiva in Linga which has no movement, I must also see Shiva in anything that moves. Shiva who has no form and no name shows himself in Jangama, anything that moves.

Focus

Seeing One in all, I must move beyond name and form; then awareness will meet awareness. If I slip from awareness, it’s like falling into an area of darkness.
